Welcome to the 2022 New York Bears!
The New York Bears are entering their 12th season in the Westchester Rockland Wood Bat League. The team was founded and is currently still coached by George Zeolla.
In 2013, the Bears pulled off one of the league's greatest underdog stories by defeating league powerhouse New City Outlaws to capture the 2013 WRWBL title. Since then, the Bears have been searching for title #2.
With a roster loaded with collegiate talent, the Bears are hungrier than ever to make another deep run in the WRWBL playoffs.

The Manager of the Year for 2022 is George Zeolla from the New York Bears!
For Zeolla, this is the 2nd time in his career where he’s been named league Manager of the Year (previously won it in 2013).
After an up and down regular season finish, Zeolla helped lead his Bears team on a deep playoff run in which they made the WRWBL championship for the first time since 2013.
During their playoff run, the Bears knocked off the #4 seed New City Outlaws in the Quarterfinals, and then upset the 2-time defending champion New Rochelle Tigers in the semifinals.
