For the first time since 2013, the New York Bears are WRWBL champions!
The Bears swept the New City Outlaws in the championship series, taking Game 1 by a score of 7-4, then sealing the deal with a 7-1 victory in Game 2.
Tim Denet was the standout player of the championship, as he clubbed 2 home runs, including a grand slam in Game 2, to propel the Bears to victory. Chris Calamari went the distance in Game 2, allowing only 1 run on 6 hits.
