The Comeback Player of the Year for 2023 is Denis Alimonti from the Somers Cyclones!

A mainstay for almost 15 years in the league, Denis never missed a game due to injury.

But in 2021, a collision at third base left Denis with a badly torn labrum that required surgery and saw him miss over half the season.

In 2022, he attempted to make a come back. However, Denis suffered a cardiac event that required him to have a double bypass and miss the entirety of the 2022 season.

This season, Denis was healthy and locked down the infield defense, playing every infield position and challenged for a utility gold glove; an award he has already one twice in his WRWBL career.
