The WRWBL released updated power rankings for the 2023 season. There was some big movement in the rankings, as every team moved from their original position in the preseason rankings. We have a new #1 as well, as the red hot New City Outlaws claimed the top spot!

1. New City Outlaws

A 6-0 start to the year has the Outlaws atop of the league standings. Their pitching has been lights out so far and their bats have been coming alive with key hits. They are red hot at the moment and don't seem to be slowing down.

2. New Rochelle Tigers

With a quick 4-0 start to the year, the Tigers are showcasing why they are one of the league's best. They have been producing with their bats and getting quality innings with their pitching. The scary part is that they have done all this in the absence of their best player.

3. New York Finest

It has been somewhat of a slow start for the Finest's standards. They are getting great offensive production, but their pitching has struggled to keep runs off the board as of late. They should bounce back easily.

4. Somers Cyclones

Injuries and inconsistency has hurt a team that had pretty high expectations going into the season. They will look to rely on their depth to get them over the hump and back into the mix for title contention.

5. Westchester Statesmen

The Statesmen have showed that they fear nobody. Impressive wins against the Finest and Cyclones have put this team middle of the pack in the standings. The big question is whether or not they can find more consistency throughout the year.

6. New York Bears

It has been nothing short of a disappointing start for a team that was one year removed from being WRWBL runner up. They have gotten some great production from the top half of their lineup, but fielding woes and inconsistency in key moments have haunted them.

7. New York City Thunderdogs

Manager Dave Lopez preached consistency in the offseason as a key for this young team. They have yet to find it, but a recent win against the Finest could spark the start of something productive for them.
