The New York Finest are nothing short of dominant. With an elite lineup, deep pitching staff, and flawless defense all around the diamond, the Finest put all the pieces together to break their league title drought in 2022. Now with a title under their belt, the NYPD have their sights set on going back-to-back and they have the firepower to get the job done.

Manager Dennis O’Sullivan knows that there’s no easy way to replace last season’s league MVP, Anthony Luciano. Being their sole player departing, Luciano was crucial to the Finest’s success last season and his overall talent will surely be missed. Unlike most teams that would feel the after effects of losing an MVP, the Finest are confident that their talent returning can pick up the production that Luciano leaves behind. Long time veterans P.J. Ragone, Anthony Carnacchio and Raul Gonzalez return once again to anchor a Finest lineup that was tops in just about every offensive statistical category last year. All-Star selections, Andrew Collette and Mike Camerada, will look to build on their strong 2022 campaigns. Other standouts such as Paul DeMartino, Anthony Maisano, Joel Feliz and Ismael Perez will look to provide an added spark to the vaunted Finest lineup.

Defensively, there’s nobody better than the NYPD. For the second consecutive season, the Finest committed the fewest errors in the league. Although their lone GG winner from last year (Luciano) is gone, they have plenty of other defensive standouts with past gold gloves on their resumes.

The Finest are talented and very deep with pitching. Their big three of Kris Killackey, Scott Hannon, and Jose Aquino were nothing short of dominant last season. All three posted sub 2.50 ERA’s and earned All-Star nods last year. Once again, they will be called upon to keep runs off the board and lead the charge. Supporting these three is a collection of both veteran and electric arms. Joe Ayala and Tyler Mitts provide quality veteran innings, while Tony Rivera and Johnny Pignatelli bring the heat out of the pen.
